About Sorolif Studios

Making games that keep players at the heart of the action

Sorolif Studios is an independent French studio founded by Bruno Pautrel-Réauté. Its mission is simple: create genuinely interactive experiences in which player decisions shape the game.

The studio values rich worlds, deep systems and games that ask players to think, act and adapt. These are not experiences that move forward on their own; every victory should come from the player’s choices, skill and creativity.

A long-standing passion for strategy games

The ambition to create video games began in 2012. Development of the first strategy project started in 2016, several years before Sorolif Studios was officially founded in September 2024.

That journey gradually produced a technical foundation, a universe and a set of original gameplay systems. Today, the project has a name: Cinderfall.

Inspired by the major titles that shaped real-time strategy, Cinderfall does not aim to reproduce them. It preserves the genre’s foundations—base building, resource management, army control and real-time decision-making—then combines them with extensive customization, asymmetric factions and systems created specifically for the game.

Cinderfall, the studio’s main project

Cinderfall is a modern RTS developed by a solo creator for Android, iOS and PC. Players shape an army from more than 160 units and buildings, customize individual stats and command massive battles across land, sea and air.

The game is currently playable in a private development build. Its Android public alpha is planned for fall 2026, followed by the full mobile launch in late 2026 and a Steam release in early 2027.

Who is behind Sorolif Studios?

My name is Bruno Pautrel-Réauté, developer and founder of Sorolif Studios. I have more than ten years of experience in software development, digital product management and immersive technologies, including virtual and augmented reality.

Before creating the studio, I worked as a product manager at a service company. I led the development of a digital product, coordinated teams, structured a roadmap and managed client relationships. As a VR and AR technical lead, I also built strong experience in 3D, web technologies, prototyping and 2D/3D visual design.

This multidisciplinary background lets me carry Cinderfall from concept to production: architecture, gameplay, tools, interfaces, content, communication and overall project direction.

Why the name Sorolif?

Sorolif is a gaming alias I created while playing The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth. It has stayed with me ever since and naturally reflects my passion for strategy games and fantasy worlds.

When the studio needed a name, Sorolif Studios became the link between that journey as a player and the ambition to create strategic worlds of my own.

Expertise that also supports business projects

Alongside game development, Sorolif Studios helps companies with Unity, VR, AR, interactive development, prototyping, product management, training and technical consulting.

This freelance work draws on a portfolio of more than forty applications and twelve websites across sectors including industry, training, construction, landscaping, real estate and public services.
