Getting started in Unity
The generator is designed for Unity 6000.2 or later with URP. Start by checking your project’s compatibility, then import the Core package. The optional Starter package provides examples and editable biome settings to help you get started.
- Check compatibility and supported configurations
- Install the Core package and explore the Starter
- Follow the getting started guide
Understanding generation parameters
Adjust map size, seed, player layout, expansions, and resources. Explore options for terrain, rivers, lakes, mountains, plateaus, and ramps. The parameter reference explains each setting and when it applies, while the comparison gallery illustrates their effects through screenshots.
Customizing biomes and scenery
Four reference biomes are included: Forest, Tropical, Snow, and Autumn. Use them as a starting point, then adapt materials, models, and placement rules to suit your game’s world.
Integrating maps into your game
Use the code examples to generate maps at runtime and retrieve player spawn positions. The guides also explain the available outputs and the information stored on generated maps.
- Use the runtime generation API
- Choose outputs and prepare integration
- Inspect generated map information
